Joe Walker–aka The Jolly Swagman–is one of the most popular bloggers in Australia and also one of the most literate about “this view of life”, or an evolutionary worldview. My first podcast with him in February 2020, titled “The Evolution of a Renegade” went three hours and is arguably the best introduction to my life and work. My latest podcast, titled “On Ayn Rand, Cooperation, and Successful Societies“, is centered on Atlas Hugged but extends far and wide, as do all of my conversations centered on AH. Joe and I also reflect upon the closing of 2020 and start of 2021, which I view with optimism and ambition.
Atlas Hugged and ringing in the new year with Joe Walker
“This is an incredibly ambitious novel from one of the finest scientific minds on the planet–who just happens to be the son of the great American novelist Sloan Wilson. The goal of Atlas Hugged is nothing short of changing the world by uniting humanity and eliminating suffering. As a reimagined sequel of sorts to Ayn Rand’s famous and influential novel Atlas Shrugged, Wilson’s work is similarly full of philosophical ideas and illustrative parables. It’s didactic in the best sense of that word”
